I don't usually use this type of software, as I regularly do HD backups.

daily. A quick search of www.versiontracker.com shows that Boomerang is
considered by some to be best of breed. It does cost money, but you can
see
what files it finds before you actually buy it, so if it can't find your
file, then you don't need to pay for it.
