It's a third-party program for running Windows or other non-Apple OS as if
it were an application. If you are familiar at all with the Microsoft
"Virtual PC" (formerly Connectix), it's the same thing, except Parallels
is
much faster than Parallels ever was, because it doesn't have to emulate
the
Intel processor architecture; you're already running on it. It's great for
those apps for which there is just no Mac analogue.
