Sounds like you did everything right. Unfortunately, the only generic

driver I know about is the Laserwriter 8 one. This is designed for
Postscript
or Postscript-compatible printers. I don't know if your Epson is
Postscript-compatible or not.
Outside of getting Laserwriter 8 to work, maybe with a used Postcript
printer
from eBay. or living with the current no-features driver that you seem to
be
using in Classic, I don't have any other good choices.
I guess that I would be looking to transition to OS 10 by putting any new
financial data into an OS 10 program, and keeping an OS 9 system around
for
any historical data you needed.
