I doubt if that is the issue, but from the MacO****nts website, I did find
some cures that other people used for this issue. Perhaps one will work
for
you.

I had the same error as well and tried uninstalls and reinstalls all day!
But now it is FIXED!
I simply took the advice in this thread but instead of deleting the
"Microsoft User Data" folder, I simply renamed it and then re-opened MS
Word.
MS Word automatically created a new folder and the error msg is gone.
Woohoo!
Whatever settings and files I needed, I just copied from the renamed
folder!"
