Just purchased a new MacBook with 10.4 Tiger as the OS. Been with Windows
and plan on keeping a PC with Windows online. On dial-up.
Got a lot to learn re Apple OS. Will be on broadband.
1. Which is generally safer wireless or
dsl or cable?
2. Does having the Mac Firewall on and a router cause anything negative?
Or, just not really necessary. I have a Belkin Wireless Router, so I'm ok
there if I go wireless.
It's been at times a pain with security via Windows, so I'm looking
forward to less updating in that area.
I'm sure I'll have more questions as time goes on. I promise to try to
keep
them short and to the point.
