LEOPARD

by Brian Paul Ehni <behni@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Oct 23, 2007 at 09:42 PM

Why does Apple specifically exclude secondary internal drives for Time
Machine?

The Apple page on Time Machine <
http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/timemachine.html>
says this:

Pick a disk. Any disk.
You can designate just about any HFS+ formatted FireWire or USB drive
connected to a Mac as a Time Machine backup drive. Time Machine can also
back up to another Mac running Leopard with Personal File Sharing, Leopard
Server, or Xsan storage devices.

Their verbiage specifically states FireWire and USB drives (which are
external), or a network drive.

This is pretty darn short-sighted for those of us with G4s, G5s, and
MacPros
with more than one internal hard drive.
