Changing the default streaming MP3 player

by "no-spam2@[EMAIL PROTECTED] " <no-spam2@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 3, 2007 at 03:16 PM

How can I change which application will play streaming radio stations
such as Live365.com?
Currently it opens up iTunes, but I would like Quicktime player (or
whatever else I find to work better) for Internet radio.
I know that I can change which application which opens a certain file
(do a "show info" on the file-type in question, then choose the player
from "Open with.." and finally choose "Change all"). Unfortunately
nothing seems to work as I've taken a random file, then renamed it
to .MP3, .M3U and .M3URL, and asking Quicktime player to open them.
Itunes still opens radio broadcasts from Live365.com. Are they using a
file-format different from the above?
