USB pen-drive won't mount (but is recognized!)

by "no-spam2@[EMAIL PROTECTED] " <no-spam2@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 31, 2007 at 05:15 AM

For some reason my Kingston DataTraveler DT1/1GB (http://
www.kingston.com/flash/datatraveler.asp) doesn't mount when I insert
it.
However, Growl recognizes it and tells me:

  USB connection
  DataTraveler 2.0

when I insert it, and the opposite when I remove it.
I also checked with System Profiler, and sure enough, this is what I
get under the "hardware"-"USB" section:

DataTraveler 2.0:
  Version:	1.00
  Bus Power (mA):	500
  Speed:	Up to 480 Mb/sec
  Manufacturer:	Kingston
  Product ID:	0x1a00
  Serial Number:	a_number_here
  Vendor ID:	0x13fe

What could be wrong with it, and how do I get it to work properly
again?
