Auto spelling in Leopard?

by Bogey Hempton <none@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 14, 2008 at 10:42 AM

This is drivin me nuts.

While I type in any program, there's a grey box that pops up with
spelling suggestions all the time.
For instance, as I'm typing right now, the box is even appearing over
the actual word I'm typing so I can't see properly.

Something also keeps auto correcting my spelling. Like, when I type
the word "wanna", it automatically corrects it to "want to"
It also capitalizes the first word of every sentence whether I want to
or not.

Last but not least, when I type in some words like the word "numbers",
it capitalizes that too.

Lastly again... it also does automatic calculations when I type stuff
like "4.122" It automatically changes it to "4.122= 4.122"

Is this a built in Leopard thing or did I install some annoying
shareware along the way and just forget about it?
