Earlier I wrote:

SpellCatcher in Mac OS-X 10.4 'Tiger.'
The shorthand or misspelled word is no
longer removed (replaced) when the correction
is pasted. E.g.:
Type: mac Becomes: macMac
Type: cant Becomes: cantcan't
Type: wbh Becomes: wbhWayne B. Hewitt
and so on for any other corrected word. Needless
to say this makes the corrections almost useless.
UPDATE:
This seems to be true ONLY (so far) for Mail.app.
SpellCatcher functions correctly in Word, TextEdit,
and MT-NewsWatcher 3.4.
Has anyone else seen this?
